If you’ve been thinking about investing your time and money into subliminal audio is to help improve the effectiveness of your law of attraction and manifestation ability, then you’re going to want to wkeep reading before you do, because we’re not going to be just bringing you opinion, we’re going to be bringing you facts.

I’ve been a self-help student, coach, and teacher for decades, and I have a voracious appetite for information. If there’s a book out there, I’ve probably read it. If there’s an audio program, I’ve probably listened to it and implemented it. If there’s a seminar or event, I’ve probably been to it. If there’s a methodology, I’ve probably tried it. And so, yes, I have spent a lot of time and a lot of money listening diligently to subliminal audios to try and improve various aspects of my life.

Now, in my experience they have not been that powerful. I haven’t seen much, if any, result or benefit from them. But I don’t want to just go by my experience. I have spoken to some other people that have had good experience with them. They say they’ve listened to subliminals and it’s really helped their life. So I don’t want to just take my viewpoint, my experience, and say that’s the truth for the whole world. But neither do I just want to take these few people’s experience as truth for the whole world.

So I’m always looking for research, really good, hard, well done, scientific research. Now, when it comes to subliminal audios, there’s a lot of studies out there. And what I find is most of them aren’t really that thorough. They don’t really follow the scientific methodologies. They don’t really have strict parameters around them, so I question their results. But the best study I have found on subliminal audios for self-help was done in 1991 out of the Universities of California and Washington. This was a double blind study that they did. Put people through three rounds of subliminal audios. In the end 127 people completed the study. The methodology for this particular study was very thorough. What they did was they took sets of self-help subliminal audios from three different manufacturers.

There were two types of subliminal audios. One was to help with memory, and one was to help with personal self image. Participants were given tapes randomly. Not only were they given types randomly, but the labels on the tapes were switched. So they could get a tape that said it was for memory, but it was really for self-esteem. They could have gotten a tape labeled for self-esteem and it was really for memory. Or they could have been the actual tapes as they were actually labeled. This was a double blind study, so not only did the participants not know what tapes they were getting, the people giving them the tapes didn’t know if they were labeled properly or not. So even in that interaction, giving them the tapes, they couldn’t give away any clues or answers to the participants.

All of the participants that completed the study listened to the audios for 30 consecutive days, as instructed by the manufacturers to get the best effect from the subliminal audios. Both prior to listening to the audios for 30 days, and after listening to the audio for 30 days, the participants were given tests. Two types of tests. One of the tests was to gauge where they actually were in memory and self-esteem. The second set of tests was more of a survey about how their participant felt their memory was, and how they felt their self-esteem was. Well at the end of the test, after listening to these audios for 30 days, the findings on the second set of tests were really, really revealing. Because if the subliminal audios were working, then the label on the tape shouldn’t matter. Shouldn’t matter what the label said, because you’re getting the subliminal audios. So even if you’re listening to a subliminal audio that’s supposed to improve your memory and it was labeled self-esteem, your memory should improve. Well, the finding of the studies were the opposite. The opposite thing happened.

Although the study did find that there were minor improvements in memory and minor improvements in self-esteem, the results were much more correlated to the label that was on the tape then to the content itself. Quite often the results the participants would have were the exact opposite of the content they had. Meaning if they were receiving great memory audios, they would rise in the self-esteem. If they were getting great self esteem audios, their memory would improve. The best correlation the scientists could determine was that the improved results were related to the label on the tape, and had nothing to do with the actual content delivered by the subliminal audios. In the end the researchers concluded that the actual subliminal audio content for the self help tapes had zero effect on the participants, and any improvement was attributed to the placebo effect from the labels on the cassettes itself. If you would like to review this research paper yourself, I’ve included a link to it in the comments below.

So if subliminal audios aren’t effective, which science shows they are not, then why are they promoted so heavily in the law of attraction and manifestation world? Well, there’s two reasons for that. Reason number one, the obvious one, people like to make money. And if there’s a gimmick someone can make money on, there’s a lot of people that will make money off that gimmick, whether it helps people or not. Reason number two is that when the majority of law of attraction teachers and coaches are teaching their pupils, and their students aren’t getting the results they expect to get, the last thing most law of attraction teachers and coaches want to do is take responsibility and accountability for that. Which is what they should do. If they’re teaching you and coaching you, and you’re not getting results, well it’s their job to help you get those results, not blame someone or something else.

But unfortunately that’s what the majority of them do. They look for a way to get themselves off the hook so it’s not their fault, so they can still say what they’re teaching is effective and works, it’s just not working for you for this reason or that reason. And that reason is usually your fault. There’s something wrong with you, something needs to be fixed with you, you’ve got mental and emotional blocks where you have to reprogram your subconscious. And reprogramming your subconscious is something he can spend years and years and hundreds of thousands of dollars doing with little to no real change to show for it. And without knowing if it’s working, then we’re not knowing if it’s having any effect and not improving your results. So it’s this bottomless pit that law of attraction teachers and coaches can throw their students into to keep them on the hook, to come back to the teacher and coach, and for the teacher and coach not to have to admit that they’re teaching you the wrong stuff, or they’re teaching it in the wrong way.

We have taught thousands of people how to finally start manifesting the changes they want in their life and moving their lives forward. And none of them, not a single one of them has had to do any reprogramming of their subconscious mind. You simply do not have to do it. It’s not required. If you haven’t been getting the results you want to-date, then more than likely you’ve just been given the wrong information, or been taught it in the wrong way. If you would like to get some new information so you can get different results, then you are in the right place.
